At JS-Notary LLC, we value your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you visit our website, use our booking application, or hire us for notary and mobile notary services.

As a Pennsylvania notary public business, our practices are strictly governed by the Pennsylvania Revised Uniform Law on Notarial Acts (RULONA) and regulations enforced by the Pennsylvania Department of State.

1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT

We collect information that you voluntarily provide to us when booking an appointment or contacting us. This includes:

* Contact Data: Your name, email address, phone number, and physical billing or mailing addresses.

* Appointment Details: Document types, scheduling preferences, and meeting location addresses for mobile notary services.

* Payment Data: Credit card details or other financial accounts processed securely through our third-party payment processors (we do not store your raw payment details on our servers).

* State-Mandated Notarial Data: Information legally required to fulfill Pennsylvania notary register/journal entries under 57 Pa.C.S. § 319, including the signer's full name, full address, and a description of the method of identification used.

2. PENNSYLVANIA STATUTORY PRIVACY LIMITS (RULONA)

In accordance with Pennsylvania law (including 4 Pa. Code § 167.32), we adhere to strict privacy limits regarding Personally Identifiable Information (PII) for your protection against identity and deed fraud:

* Social Security Numbers: We strictly do not collect, write down, or record any portion of your Social Security Number in our official notary records.

* Drivers License Numbers: We do not record full driver's license numbers or full passport numbers in our official notary journal.

* Excluded Data: We strictly do not record dates of birth, places of birth, mothers' maiden names, or biometric records in the notary journal.

3. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION

We use the collected data to operate our business efficiently, including to:

* Schedule, modify, or cancel your notary appointments.

* Process your booking deposits, travel fees, and service balances.

* Navigate to your designated location for mobile notary services.

* Send appointment confirmations, text reminders, and policy updates.

* Comply with state-mandated notary public record-keeping and journal requirements.

4. SHARING YOUR INFORMATION

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We only share data with trusted third parties to fulfill your services, such as:

* Booking and scheduling application providers.

* Payment processing gateways.

* SMS and email communication platforms.

* Law enforcement or government officials, strictly when requested by formal legal summons or to comply with a valid public inspection request under Pennsylvania notary regulations.

5. COOKIES AND TRACKING TECHNOLOGIES

Our website and booking app use cookies to improve your user experience, remember your preferences, and analyze website traffic. You can adjust your web browser settings to refuse cookies, though doing so may limit your ability to use certain features of our booking platform.

6. DATA SECURITY

We implement industry-standard security measures, including SSL encryption, to protect your personal data during transmission and storage. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your information, no method of online transmission or storage is 100% secure.

7. DATA RETENTION & CUSTODY

* General Business Data: Retained only as long as necessary to fulfill consumer business services.

* Pennsylvania Notary Journals: Under RULONA, official notary journals and Remote Online Notarization (RON) audio-visual recordings are subject to a mandatory 10-year statutory retention period.

* Statutory Delivery: In accordance with 57 Pa.C.S. § 319(e), upon the expiration, resignation, or revocation of the notary commission, official notary records are legally delivered to the office of the recorder of deeds in the Pennsylvania county where the notary last maintained an office.

8. YOUR RIGHTS AND CHOICES

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, or request the deletion of your personal data. Please note that text or database deletion requests cannot overwrite or wipe out entries made in a state-mandated physical or tamper-evident electronic notary journal.

9. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY

We reserve the right to update this Privacy Policy at any time. We will notify you of changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page.
